Canadian rockers, and one of my favourite bands (go on, do your worst), Nickelback, have given the clearest indication yet that they are on the cusp of dropping new music, sharing a teaser video featuring some tasty and classic Nickelback riffage.
The post contains the caption “This is where you come to get out what you’re going through…” and a link that takes you to a countdown page featuring a cryptic clock.
The band’s last album was 2022’s Get Rollin’, although a refreshed version of their 2023 track Bones for the Crows, recorded for the mobile game Dungeon Hunter 6, was released in March this year and used as the theme song for WrestleMania 42. And in one of the wildest collaborations this year, Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger and Ryan Peake teamed up with UK alternative band DON BROCO for the single Nightmare Tripping – one of the best metal tracks of the year, in my humble opinion.
Back in April, bassist Mike Kroeger took to Instagram to share that not only had he suffered a foot injury, but that the next Nickelback album was “almost done.” Here’s hoping it’s not too far away.
