A new trailer for Battlefield 6‘s upcoming fourth season has dropped, focusing on the return of naval combat to the series. We’ve known since the roadmap reveal back in April that marine maps were on the menu for Season 4, but this trailer gives us our first proper look at the new content.
Our first ship off the dock is Tsuru Reef, the soon-to-be largest map in Battlefield 6. Comprised of an archipelago of islands, we see various attack and transport boats zipping through the ocean to either make landfall and drop off troops, or absolutely terrorise enemy vehicles with onboard weaponry. Interestingly, we also spot deadly sea mines littering the reef, as well as targeting torpedoes launched by said attack boats, so you can expect to face plenty of obstacles within the waves.
Speaking of which, this brief trailer also showcases the dynamic wave system included with the two naval maps. Whether calm or choppy, the waves seen by one player will be the same for everyone else, as they run on the server side, ensuring you can use them as cover if you’re at the helm of a boat.
We also get a glimpse of the hotel resort and smaller villas set on Tsuru’s islands, which will undoubtedly be the spot for some nasty close-quarters fighting, right up until it’s levelled by artillery.
The back half of the trailer focuses on the season’s second map: Wake Island. Originally appearing in Battlefield 1942, this horseshoe-shaped naval map is legendary, and for good reason. Huge, chaotic, and dominated by sea and air vehicles, this bad boy will be welcomed by series veterans and quickly embraced by newcomers. Just don’t snipe from the aircraft carrier, please.
