If you are anything like me, you have likely been hungry for a proper release date for Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2.
Well, patience is rewarded – with a stellar trailer that not only gives you the hallowed day, but a banging metal soundtrack from kickarse Aussie composer Mick Gordon AND a shocking look at the game’s main antagonist, Vashtorr, daemonic demigod of inventors, engineers, scientists and artisans.
Now before you get too excited, I have to clarify that Mick Gordon is providing a track for the game. He isn’t doing the entire soundtrack, as I can only guess that such a thing would be too damn awesome for a set of regular human ears to process.
But that other bit of information is a shocker – both Ultramarine Malum Caedo and Sister of Battle Nyra Veyrath are going to trade blows with Vashtorr the Arkifane. People deep in the Warhammer 40k lore likely already know that this guy is demigod of immense power, but for those out of the loop – he is a mad machine scientist empowered by all the worst godly powers of the universe. If he has a plan for a planet, it’s never a good one.
The wait is also not a terrible one, with the greatest terrors of the Emperor’s endless war coming to most platforms on October 14. For those wishing to paste Vashtorr on their Nintendo Switch 2, a promise of ‘shortly after’ has been offered for when to expect it.
